People often ask me what tips I have for decorating my home for the seasons. Since Spring is on it’s way, I thought I would offer a few tips I’ve learned over the years. First of all, I’m not the type of person who goes all out on holiday decor. I have much respect for those of you that do. The holiday themed creations I’ve seen on Instagram and Pinterest are truly magical and fantastic. However, I personally, don’t have the time, money, or space to do this. I like to keep things simple, classic, and timeless. I don’t want to spend hours decorating, enjoy it for a few weeks, then throw it in my attic until the holiday next year. That’s too much work and very expensive!
My preference is to pick a few small spaces and focus my attention there. For example, I love to decorate my front porch. It’s the best way to welcome friends and family into your home and sets the tone for the season. A great way to decorate your porch is adding a pretty spring/Easter wreath to your front door. I usually pull mine out right after Valentine’s Day and leave it up through the end of April. I like to shop Etsy when it comes to arts and crafts. I love to support local businesses and it’s extra special when it’s hand made with love!

Happy Spring!
