Are you Ready for the 4th of July?

4th of July, also known as Independence Day, is one of my favorite holidays!  It’s a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the Declaration of Independence, establishing the United States of America on Jul 4, 1776.  4th of July is commonly known for patriotic celebrations including spectacular fireworks, small town parades, backyard barbecues, family and friend reunions, and many other events to rejoice in our great country’s history, faith, freedom, and flag.  It’s an American tradition that has been carried on for 247 years.  It’s a big part of who I am, representative my personal values, and I have so many family and childhood memories from the past.  It’s very special to me.

A week before Memorial Day, I pull out the patriotic home decorations.  We proudly hang our American Flag in front of our house and drape our deck with red, white, and blue bunting.  I hang my patriotic wreaths on the front door and decorate the dining room with a red, white, and blue tablescape.  I grab the patriotic pool floaties ready for our backyard barbecue/swim party and hang up our red, white and blue LED lights around our outdoor pavilion.  I wear lots of red white and blue from Memorial Day through the 4th of July, which makes outfit planning a lot of fun.

In today’s post, I’m celebrating all the red, white and blue. From home decor to fashion, there’s always a way to honor Old Glory and add a little bit of patriotism to your summer celebrations or every day occasions.   I hope you find something you like to.

God Bless America!
